On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, »the Museum Market Halle« will take place for the first time. Teachers from all types of schools and educational advocates can learn about educational programs offered by various museums in Halle from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Francke Foundations.
Following an introduction by Kevin Aethner (LISA), the professional development event will begin with a keynote address by Dr. Frauke Wetzel (Federal Cultural Foundation) on the importance and significance of museums in a democratic society. Afterward, the participating museums will present their diverse educational formats—ranging from elementary school through vocational school—at booths. Participants will receive information on specific programs and general conditions, have the opportunity to try out practical sessions from various educational programs, and are invited to exchange ideas with colleagues and education specialists.
